Keystone LED T8 Type B U-Bend Lamps are an Easy Fluorescent Replacement and DLC Listed for Utility Rebates
These LED tubes are the replacement for fluorescent lamps. They offer numerous benefits over their fluorescent predecessors including instant startup, being UL Classified, and being 40% more energy efficient. Additionally, these lamps contain no mercury and have a frosted lens to eliminate pixelation. These lamps can also be used in both dry and damp locations.
These T8 U-Bend LED tubes are Type B and are often referred to as "ballast bypass." They work with all fluorescent fixtures including ballast-free fixtures. Type B linear tubes power goes directly to the lamp sockets and no longer through the ballast. The lamps are also dimmable when a compatible dimmer is used. The spec sheet has more information on this as well as re-wiring the fixture. When these LED tubes are installed, use non-shunted lampholders only!

What does ballast bypass mean? How does ballast bypass work?
Ballast bypass means when installing the LED linear tube, the fixture's ballast will need to be removed first. The power will then go directly to the lamp sockets and no longer through the ballast. The benefits of ballast bypass LED replacement tubes include lights not being shut down by a ballast failure, no more ballast replacements, and savings on the energy bill because energy is no longer drawing from the ballast.
